Congratulations to two Linden public school students (brother and sister) Elise and Mario Cumberbatch, from McManus were the highlight of the City of Linden’s Department of Parks and Recreation Black History Vision Board Display. This recognition was held at the John T. Gregorio Center on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Each participant had the opportunity to express themselves artistically through art. Their vision boards were a way to represent their goals, future and intentions using a collage of images, photos, newspaper clippings, etc. Elise and Mario did a fantastic job! They both spoke briefly about their art projects, took pictures, and were awarded gifts. Elise and Mario each received a $25 Amazon gift card, a Black History goody bag, and a Black History T-shirt.
In the featured pictures, the people included are as follows: Elise Cumberbatch, Supervisor of Recreation, Megan Martin-Ortiz and Mario Cumberbatch.
