Basketball Game: New York Knicks vs Utah Jazz

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation invite you to attend the New York Knicks vs Utah Jazz Basketball Game.

  • Who: Parents and children.
  • What: New York Knicks vs Utah Jazz Basketball game.
  • Where: Madison Square Garden, located on 4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10001.
    • Transportation will not be provided for this trip.
  • When: December 5, 2025, the game with be at 7:30pm.
  • How: Tickets will be sold to families who are interested in attending the game. Limited spots available. Registration deadline is October 31, 2025. Two partial payments are offered & will be collected on October 10, 2025 and October 31, 2025. If you have any questions, please call 908-474-8639.

2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer the 2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp.

  • Who: For boys ages 5 through 14.
  • What: Baseball Camp for boys, with instructors Craig Goldberg (LHS Varsity Baseball Head Coach), Xavier Krok (LHS Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach), Dan O’Lear (LHS Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach) and the Linden High School Varsity Baseball Players.
  • Where: Memorial Field (next to the P.A.L. Fields), which is located at 55 Lower Road.
  • When: Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
    • 9am until 11am for grades 3 through 5.
    • 11:30am until 1:30 pm for grades 6 through 8.

SNY Play Ball – Linden Pop Warner Tigers Football Clinic with the New York Jets

The City of Linden Pop Warner Tigers extend their sincere gratitude to SNY, the New York Jets organization, and All-Pro Linebacker Quincy Williams for hosting a memorable one-day clinic for our youth football players. The Pop Warner Tigers were incredibly excited and enthusiastic about the day, and this experience will be forever etched in their memories. 2025 Fall Little Kickers Clinic

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the 2025 Fall Little Kickers Clinic. Register early to secure a spot!

  • Who: Open to all children ages 4 and 5.
  • What: Outdoor soccer. All participants must have their own shin guards.
  • Where: Instructional Clinic will be held at Wheeler Park, which is located at 234 West Stimpson Avenue. Clinic located on the Soccer Field, entrance on West Stimpson Avenue.
  • When: The Little Kickers Clinic begins on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 9am. Clinic will run for eight (8) Saturdays: October 4, 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15.
  • How: Registration deadline is September 19, 2025. After deadline, all registrants must register by calling 908-474-8600 or 908-474-8627, and a waiting list will be established. Registration fee is $50 for residents, and $60 for non-residents. A one-time annual $6 insurance fee will be added to your total registration fee, per child, if this has not already been paid for with another program. All participants must have their own shin guards. Register online here, or register in person at the John T. Gregorio Center (330 Helen Street) from 9am until 4pm, or at the Linden Multi Purpose Center (1025 John Street) from 9:30am until 7pm. No refunds once the Clinic begins. Comedy Under the Stars

  • What: Comedy under the Stars produced by Bob and Reggie Summer, “Back by popular demand” hosted by Freddie Ricks with comedians Rashaun Reese, Sophia Negron, and Rey Pinder. The evening’s soundtrack is provided by Linden’s very own DJ Mozart.
  • When: Friday September 12, 2025, gates open 6:30pm and showtime starts at 7pm.

Kids Canvas Paint Class

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer Kids Canvas Paint Class.

  • Who: For kids ages 5 through 12.
  • What: Kids canvas paint classes. All supplies included. The painting classes are guided with the instructor showing every step. Small color copies of the painting will be handed out to the children for reference. Background music will be available to create a more creative and tranquil atmosphere for the young artists.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.

  • What: Fit 4 Life; a free program to promote a healthy lifestyle within our senior citizen community. This program includes a focus on warm-ups, balance, strength training and stretching exercises.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Mondays, from 9am to 10am starting September 8, 2025 through November 24, 2025.
    • No class: October 13, 2025.

Adult Pilates

  • What: Adult Pilates. Provides stability, mobility, and flexibility through concentrated movements. Improves postural alignment and helps correct muscular imbalances.

  • When: Wednesdays, September 10 through November 19, 2025 from 6:30pm until 7:30pm.
