Notice of Auction of Surplus Property

Notice of Auction of Surplus Property No Longer Needed by the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-35 and Resolution 50-26 and 55-26 the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority will conduct a Public Auction Sale of surplus property that is no longer needed for public use. Online auction site.

Start Date: Friday, October 30, 2026 at 9am.
End Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2026 beginning at 2pm with items closing at scheduled intervals until conclusion.

All Bidders are required to pre-register for bidding at the auction website here. All bidders in this auction agree that they should read and fully understand the terms and conditions outlined on the site and agree to be bound thereby. All items are sold “as is, where is” condition, free from any guarantee or warranty. The Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid submitted. All sales are final.

Notice RE New Job Position Available In The City of Linden

Once completed all applications must be returned via email or mailed to City of Linden City Clerks’ Office, 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036. PSE&G Prepared for Potential Nor’easter and Severe Weather

As the storm’s track continues to evolve, PSE&G* has activated its storm response plan and positioned additional crews and resources throughout our service territory. We are closely monitoring the forecast and are prepared to respond safely and efficiently should heavy rain, gusty winds or other severe weather conditions result in power outages.

Throughout the storm, PSE&G will remain in close communication with county and local emergency management officials and other public safety partners to coordinate response efforts as needed. Our customer-facing teams and communications channels will also remain active to provide customers with timely information as conditions change.

We are encouraging customers to prepare now by charging essential devices, securing outdoor items and ensuring they have flashlights and fresh batteries available. Customers should always stay at least 30 feet away from downed power lines and assume they are energized. Those who rely on electrically powered medical equipment should have a backup plan in the event of an outage.

Customers can report an outage and receive restoration updates through the PSE&G mobile app, online here, by texting “OUT” to 4PSEG (47734), or by calling 1-800-436-PSEG (7734).

Strong Winds, Heavy Rain and Flooding Alert

A strong nor’easter will impact our area beginning later today and continuing through the weekend. While the greatest impacts are expected along the shore, Linden may experience prolonged rainfall, strong winds, and potential tidal flooding. While torrential rainfall is not currently forecast for our area, the City’s Department of Public Works has taken precautionary measures in recent weeks, including:

  • Inspecting and clearing catch basins in flood-prone areas
  • Inspecting storm drains and creeks and clearing significant blockages

Some uncertainty remains regarding the storm’s track, but damaging winds are currently the greatest concern for our area, with gusts potentially reaching 60 mph.

The City continues to monitor the storm, and DPW crews will be available to respond to storm-related issues.

Please monitor emergency alerts and follow the City of Linden, Linden Police Department, and other official government sources for updates.

Notice to Bidders

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN for the request for qualifications of professional service contracts beginning November 1, 2026.

All solicitations may ONLY be obtained on the City of Linden’s eProcurement portal at 

https://app.munivendor.com

  • Sealed offers shall be submitted via the City of Linden’s eProcurement portal https://app.munivendor.com up to and until Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. (prevailing time). The City’s eProcurement portal will not enable any submissions for these solicitations after Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10:00 A.M.
  • Only offers submitted through the MuniVendor eProcurement portal at https://app.munivendor.com will be accepted. No physical, manual, paper, nor any other type of electronic response type will be accepted.
  • Offerors (respondents, prospective vendors, etc.) may sign up for MuniVendor by going to https://app.munivendor.com/signup
  • Available solicitations will go live on the MuniVendor platform this morning at 12 A.M.

Offerors are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et seq., P.L. 1975, c. 127, N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., and all other applicable laws, regulations, or ordinances concerning affirmative action goals and equal employment opportunity.

The City of Linden will conduct and broadcast the bid opening in real time at Linden City Hall, 301 North Wood Avenue in the Council Conference Room, 2nd Floor of Linden City Hall. Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at Sprouts Academy Daycare

On Thursday, August 4, 2026, Mayor Derek Armstead joined City Council Members and Board of Education Members for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the expansion of the Pre-K program at Sprouts Academy Daycare. The Mayor delivered remarks highlighting the dedication behind the project, which took two and a half years to complete. The facility features four brand-new Pre-K 3 classrooms and a new playground for the children to enjoy. The community looks forward to welcoming the students this fall.
