Fall Festival

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation invite you to Linden’s Fall Festival. Join us on Saturday, September 26, 2026 (Rain Date: September 27) along North Wood Avenue for The Many Flavors of Linden Fall Festival. A grand, single-day multicultural celebration that’s 100% FREE for everyone! We’ve combined Unity Day, the Polish Festival, and the Latin Festival into one epic multicultural extravaganza! Mark your calendars and make sure to join us! This is one event you definitely don’t want to miss!

  • What: Fall Festival. Mayor Derek Armstead and the City of Linden are bringing three of our community’s favorite events: Unity Day, the Polish Festival, and the Latin Festival together into one giant celebration! We are coming together to honor and highlight the vibrant cultures that make Linden such a special place to live.

Project Healthy Bones

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer Project Healthy Bones.

  • Who: For older adults.
  • What: Project Healthy Bones is an osteoporosis prevention, exercise, and education program for older adults. Balance and strength to stand tall.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Mondays, August 31, 2026 through November 30, 2026 from 10:30am until 12pm.
    • No Class: Monday, September 7, 2026.
    • No Class: Monday, October 12, 2026.

Senior Zumba Gold

  • Who: For Linden Senior Residents. Participants should consult with a physician prior to participation.
  • What: Perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class. This program recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity, easy-to-follow pace. The main focus is on balance, range of motion, and coordination.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Fridays, September 11, 2026 through November 20, 2026 from 9:30am until 10:30am.

JTG Seatercise

  • What: Seated Fitness. Burn calories, build strength and increase your heart rate in Build a Body’s chair aerobics class executing functional exercises.

Senior Citizen Line Dancing

  • What: Senior line dancing classes. Line dancing for seniors is a fun and healthy exercise. Dancing styles incorporated into the class include salsa, ballroom, and country western.
  • When: Thursdays, September 10, 2026 through November 19, 2026 from 10:30am until 11:30am.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.

  • What: Fit 4 Life; a free program to promote a healthy lifestyle within our senior citizen community. This program includes a focus on warm-ups, balance, strength training and stretching exercises.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Mondays, from 9am to 10am starting September 14, 2026 through November 30, 2026.
    • No class: October 12, 2026.

2026 Fall Little Kickers Clinic

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the 2026 Fall Little Kickers Clinic. Register early to secure a spot!

  • Who: Open to all children ages 4 and 5.
  • What: Outdoor soccer. All participants must have their own shin guards.
  • Where: Instructional Clinic will be held at Wheeler Park, which is located at 234 West Stimpson Avenue. Clinic located on the Soccer Field, entrance on West Stimpson Avenue.
  • When: The Little Kickers Clinic begins on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 9am. Clinic will run for eight (8) Saturdays: September 19, 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and November 7.
  • How: Registration deadline is September 11, 2026. After deadline, all registrants must register by calling 908-474-8600, and a waiting list will be established. Registration fee is $65 for residents, and $75 for non-residents. A one-time annual $6 insurance fee will be added to your total registration fee, per child, if this has not already been paid for with another program. All participants must have their own shin guards. Register online here, or register in person at the John T. Gregorio Center (330 Helen Street) from 9am until 4pm, or at the Linden Multi Purpose Center (1025 John Street) from 9:30am until 7pm. No refunds once the Clinic begins.     • Child’s original birth certificate.
    • Household bill showing proof of residency.

2026 Fall Soccer League

Kids Canvas Paint Class

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer Kids Canvas Paint Class.

  • Who: For kids ages 5 through 12.
  • What: Kids canvas paint classes. All supplies included. The painting classes are guided with the instructor showing every step. Small color copies of the painting will be handed out to the children for reference. Background music will be available to create a more creative and tranquil atmosphere for the young artists.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: September 22, 2026 from 6pm until 7:30pm. Also on the following dates with the same time…

Knitting for a Cause

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer Knitting for a Cause.

  • Who: Linden senior citizens.
  • What: Knitting and crocheting classes. A basic knowledge of knitting or crocheting is required. The club will teach you the rest! Majority of items that are created are distributed to local hospitals and nursing homes.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street. Location of class is Activity Room #1.
  • When: Tuesdays, from 9:30am to 12pm starting September 1.
  • How: Free program. To register, call 908-474-8600. Registration is required upon joining, please speak to Nancy Falkowski.
