Fall Festival

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation invite you to Linden’s Fall Festival. Join us on Saturday, September 26, 2026 (Rain Date: September 27) along North Wood Avenue for The Many Flavors of Linden Fall Festival. A grand, single-day multicultural celebration that’s 100% FREE for everyone! We’ve combined Unity Day, the Polish Festival, and the Latin Festival into one epic multicultural extravaganza! Mark your calendars and make sure to join us! This is one event you definitely don’t want to miss!

  • What: Fall Festival. Mayor Derek Armstead and the City of Linden are bringing three of our community’s favorite events: Unity Day, the Polish Festival, and the Latin Festival together into one giant celebration! We are coming together to honor and highlight the vibrant cultures that make Linden such a special place to live.

    • Delicious food trucks featuring authentic tastes from around the globe.
    • Car and Bike Show with incredible custom builds and classic rides.
    • Live wrestling matches packed with high-flying action.

2026 City of Linden Summer Entertainment Series – Epic Soul

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, Linden City Council, the Department of Parks & Recreation, the Department of Transportation and Properties, and Uptown Linden Inc.*, invite you to attend Epic Soul, part of the 2026 Summer Entertainment Series! Epic soul has been rescheduled to September 15, 2026.

  • What: Come and enjoy the Summer Entertainment Series featuring Epic Soul.
  • When: Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 7pm until 8:30pm.
  • Where: Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade, which is located at 400 North Wood Avenue.
  • How: Free event. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional seating available for lawn chairs as space permits. In the event of possible rain, call 908-474-8604 after 3pm to verify if the concert will go on as scheduled. If canceled, concerts will be rescheduled for another date if possible. Technology Training Workshop

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer Technology Training Workshop.

  • What: Technology Training Workshop. This program is made possible in part by a 2026 Heart (history, education, arts reaching thousands) grant form the Union County Board of County Commissioners. Presenter will be Valerie Porter.
    • Session 1: Understanding AI cloning and how to spot it. The main focus will be how to protectyourself and know the AI cloning warning signs.
    • Session 2: Recognizing SCAM warning signs and what to do if you click. The main focus will be how to protect yourself, how to spot the scam, reduce future scams and how to block it.

  • When: Friday, October 2, and October 9, 2026 from 1pm until 2pm.

Project Healthy Bones

  • What: Project Healthy Bones is an osteoporosis prevention, exercise, and education program for older adults. Balance and strength to stand tall.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Mondays, August 31, 2026 through December 28, 2026 from 10:30am until 12pm.
    • No Class: Monday, September 7, 2026.
    • No Class: Monday, October 12, 2026.

Senior Zumba Gold

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer Senior Zumba Gold.

  • Who: For Linden Senior Residents. Participants should consult with a physician prior to participation.
  • What: Perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class. This program recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity, easy-to-follow pace. The main focus is on balance, range of motion, and coordination.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Fridays, September 11, 2026 through November 20, 2026 from 9:30am until 10:30am.
