City of Linden Board of Health Ordinance 2023-02 requires that all residential rental dwelling units as defined by BOH Ordinance 2023-02 must be registered by the owner or their agent with the Board of Health. Residential rental dwelling units include, but are not limited to, apartment buildings, multiple-family dwellings, and single-family homes. This rental property owner registration is not transferable to a new owner. A new registration form must be submitted to the Board of health within 10 business days of each change of the owner of the rental dwelling.

The registration fee is $10.00 per each owner registration form filed.

Failure to comply with BOH Ordinance 2023-02 will result in legal action, which can include Notices of Violation, summons to Municipal Court, fines, and other penalties.
