Notice regarding a Special City Council Meeting on May 28, 2020 at 6pm

A Special Meeting of the City Council, City of Linden has been scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2020, 6pm. The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

  • Review and Acceptance of the Rail Freight Assistance Program (RFAP) Agreement.
  • Approval of a Financial Agreement with Clayton relative to the 10% in matching funds for said Project.

Official action may be taken.

Notice for New Requests for Qualifications for Technology Upgrade Evaluation

Submission Due Date: June 10, 2020 11am EST

The City of Linden is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and firms to do a Technology Upgrade Evaluation. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria set forth in this RFQ. One or more individuals/firms may be selected to provide services.

Notice regarding the May 2020 City Conference & City Council Meetings

In order to practice safe social distancing due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the May, 2020 City of Linden City Conference and City Council Meetings will be held digitally. In order to participate please register for the meeting by following the links below. Please do so using your computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. You will receive an email with a personalized link to the meeting. During the Tuesday Public meeting, comment will be allowed on the Amendment to the 2020 Budget, Ordinance #64-27, and during the public comment session. Once the public comment session begins no new attendees will be allowed in.

Notice RE Municipal Court Closure Due to COVID-19

Municipal court sessions are suspended through June 1, 2020, to mitigate public exposure to COVID-19. Citizens can call the Municipal Court for any questions at (908) 474-8423.

For this period, individuals scheduled to appear before the municipal court to contest a traffic or parking ticket, a minor local ordinance violation, or other matters: Effective May 11, 2020 with the appropriate notice to parties Municipal Court sessions may only proceed by Video or Phone no in-person court sessions. On some instances where applicable your case may be eligible to be handled through Plea by Mail per Superior Court Order. Planning Board Meeting

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on May 12, 2020 the Planning Board of the City of Linden will conduct its regular meeting at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be conducted through electronic communication equipment to facilitate public comments, due to the current health emergency involving the COVID-19 Virus as declared by the Governor of New Jersey limiting personal contact and public gatherings.

The Board will vote on two resolutions and hear three applications; namely 105 Center Street, LLC, Direct Access Developers, LLC and Safety Kleen Systems which are not Public Notice Hearings.
