Due to the rain forecast the Summer Day Camp & Playground Annual Craft & Talent Show has been rescheduled to tomorrow, Thursday, August 6.

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden and the Department of Parks & Recreation invite you to come see what the children and counselors have been doing all summer!

SEALED BIDS will be received by the Purchasing Agent of the City of Linden, Linden, New Jersey, on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM prevailing time for the following project:

Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Shade Tree Planting at Various Locations in the City of Linden

The City of Linden will conduct and broadcast the bid opening in real time at Linden City Hall, 301 North Wood Avenue in the Council Conference Room, 2nd Floor of Linden City Hall. Offerors and the public have the option of remotely viewing the offer opening through a Google Meet conference with visual and audio capability. Offerors may join the virtual bid opening on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM by going to https://meet.google.com/aei-fiva-dps 

An addendum titled “Addendum 1” has been issued for the solicitation titled “Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Shade Tree Planting at Various Locations in the City of Linden”. The addendum is visible in the MuniVendor platform, and can also be viewed here.

All solicitations may ONLY be obtained on the City of Linden’s eProcurement portal at

  • Sealed offers shall be submitted via the City of Linden’s eProcurement portal https://app.munivendor.comup to and until Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM (prevailing time). The City’s eProcurement portal will not enable any submissions for these solicitations after Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM
  • Only offers submitted through the MuniVendor eProcurement portal at https://app.munivendor.com will be accepted. No physical, manual, paper, nor any other type of electronic response type will be accepted.

A BID BOND or CERTIFIED CHECK made payable to the City of Linden, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid to secure performance is REQUIRED.

ALL BIDDERS shall conform to the intention and provisions of Affirmative Action in Public Contracts Laws of State of New Jersey R.S. 10:2-1 of 7/23/75, Assembly Bill No. 2227.

Offerors are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31, et seq., P.L. 1975, c. 127, N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., and all other applicable laws, regulations, or ordinances concerning affirmative action goals and equal employment opportunity.

Heavy Rain and Flooding Alert

The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant rain event that will impact portions of New Jersey over the coming days, bringing periods of heavy rainfall, localized flooding, strong winds, and hazardous travel conditions. Expected rainfall amounts may cause flooding in low-lying areas, poor drainage locations, roadways, streams, and flood-prone properties. Additionally, gusty winds could lead to isolated power outages, downed trees, and travel disruptions. 

We urge all residents to exercise caution, avoid driving through flooded roads, and secure any loose outdoor items.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-35 and Resolution 50-26 the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority  will conduct a Public Auction Sale of surplus property that is no longer needed for public use. Online auction site.

Start Date: Monday, August 3, 2026 at 9am
End Date: Friday, August 14, 2026 beginning at 2pm with items closing at scheduled intervals until conclusion.

All Bidders are required to pre-register for bidding at the auction website here.
