Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, JTG Center, and the Linden Board of Health, in partnership with St. Georges Pharmacy are providing a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. No appointment necessary, walk-ins welcome.

Senior Citizen Line Dancing

  • Who: For Linden senior residents.
  • What: Senior line dancing classes. Line dancing for seniors is a fun, healthy and rewarding activity and exercise. Dancing styles incorporated into the class include salsa, ballroom and country western.
  • When: Thursdays, April 13 through June 15, 2023, from 10:30am until 11:30am.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.

Kids Canvas Paint Class

Due to the popularity of this class, we are offering two dates per month to register your child for the class. Please choose one or the other. There are 15 slots per class and the classes fill quickly. Don’t be left out, register today!

  • Who: For kids ages 5 through 12.
  • What: Kids canvas paint classes. All supplies included. The painting classes are guided with the instructor showing every step. Small color copies of the painting will be handed out to the children for reference. Background music will be available to create a more creative and tranquil atmosphere for the young artists.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Due to the popularity of this class, we are offering two dates per month to register your child for the class. Please choose one or the other. Each class is from 6pm until 7:30pm.

Bilingual Poll Workers Needed in Union County

The Union County Board of Elections is seeking bilingual poll workers for Primary Election Day on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 and General Election Day, Tuesday, November 7, 2023. In addition to receiving a stipend of $300.00 for the day, poll workers perform a valuable civic service by helping to ensure that every eligible voter can exercise their right to vote on Election Day.

“Bilingual poll workers are especially helpful in our diverse community, so we encourage everyone with a second language, specifically Spanish, to participate in this very important civic service,” said Board of Elections Administrator Nicole DiRado.

  • Any Union County resident who is 18 years or older, and registered to vote in Union County, can qualify to become a poll worker.
  • No experience is needed. Before Election Day, each new poll worker must attend an in-person training course.
  • Persons interested in becoming a poll worker are advised to apply now in order to reserve a spot.
