PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on May 12, 2020 the Planning Board of the City of Linden will conduct its regular meeting at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be conducted through electronic communication equipment to facilitate public comments, due to the current health emergency involving the COVID-19 Virus as declared by the Governor of New Jersey limiting personal contact and public gatherings.

The Board will vote on two resolutions and hear three applications; namely 105 Center Street, LLC, Direct Access Developers, LLC and Safety Kleen Systems which are not Public Notice Hearings.

New Jersey DR-4488-NJ – EHP Public Notice

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing financial assistance, in the form of Public Assistance (PA) Grants, to the State of New Jersey for DR-4488-NJ. To satisfy its compliance responsibilities, FEMA’s Region II Environmental & Historic Preservation Branch (EHP) has created the attached public notice for Executive Order (EO) 11988 (Floodplains), EO 11990 (Wetlands) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106). The public notice is for FEMA funded actions that are located in a floodplain or wetland or may affect listed or eligible historic properties related to the COVID-19 Response (DR-4488-NJ). Funded actions include but are not limited to: temporary testing sites, temporary Alternate Care Facilities (ACF), temporary storage sites and temporary mortuary sites.

COVID-19 Testing Site Closure Notice

Due to the anticipated inclement weather, the Union County COVID-19 Drive-Through Center is closed Monday, April 13th. The center will reopen Tuesday, April 14th at 9am. All appointments scheduled for Monday will be honored on Tuesday. Also note that due to the high volume anticipated on Tuesday, no unscheduled drive-ups will be accepted. Union County residents with COVID-19 symptoms who wish to be tested should call (908) 214 7107. First-Responders and front-line health workers may call (908) 373-5105.
