Public Hearing Announcement – Park Development Application

PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Dorothy Curry Ford Park located at 230 Chandler Avenue, Linden NJ and St. Marks Street and East Elizabeth Avenue intersection in The City of Linden.

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes to create the following new facilities at St. Mark’s Park; and/or to renovate the following facilities: Dorothy Curry Ford Park and/or to remove the following facilities: Dorothy Curry Ford Park. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on January 21st, 2025 during the regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m. council meeting. The meeting will be held in person as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting. Public Hearing Announcement – Stewardship Application

PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Wilson Park Recreation Center located at 1100-1198 Summit Terrace near the Summit Terrace and Morningside Ave Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes improvements at Wilson Park Recreation Center: Wilson Park Pond Dredging and Aeration. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on January 16, 2024 at 7pm, EST. The meeting will be held In Person as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting. Public Hearing Announcement – Park Development Grant Application

PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at AL Kalla Park located at 2800 Wickersham Avenue, near the Highland Ave and Springfield Road Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes to create the following new facilities at Al Kalla Park: a turf soccer and softball field with lights. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.

PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at George L. Milkosky Park located at 2100 Bedle Pl. near the Bedle Place and McCandless Pl. Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes to create the following new facilities at George L. Milkosky Park: a State-of-the-art, all-access, and all-inclusive playground. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.
