  • What: Pumpkin Painting Pizza Party. Children will receive a pumpkin to paint and pizza to eat.
  • When: Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 11am until 1pm.
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center (JTG), which is located at 330 Helen Street.

The Gary Letizia Memorial Blood Drive

Mayor Derek Armstead, the Linden Fire Department, and New York Blood Services invite you to donate blood to save a life. In honor of the late Gary Letizia. Be the reason for someone’s tomorrow.

  • What: Blood drive. Gary Letizia was diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 68. If not for the countless gallons of donated blood that kept him valiantly battling cancer, we wouldn’t have been able to create those extra memories that final year.   • What: New York Knicks vs Utah Jazz Basketball game.
  • Where: Madison Square Garden, located on 4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY 10001.
    • Transportation will not be provided for this trip.
  • When: December 5, 2025, the game with be at 7:30pm.
  • How: Tickets will be sold to families who are interested in attending the game. Limited spots available. Registration deadline is October 31, 2025. 2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer the 2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp.

  • Who: For boys ages 5 through 14.
  • What: Baseball Camp for boys, with instructors Craig Goldberg (LHS Varsity Baseball Head Coach), Xavier Krok (LHS Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach), Dan O’Lear (LHS Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach) and the Linden High School Varsity Baseball Players.
  • Where: Memorial Field (next to the P.A.L. Fields), which is located at 55 Lower Road.
  • When: Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
    • 9am until 11am for grades 3 through 5.
    • 11:30am until 1:30 pm for grades 6 through 8.

In person registration is available 9am until 4pm at the JTG Center (330 Helen Street), or 9am until 7pm at the Linden Multi-Purpose Center (1025 John Street). Online registration available 24/7. All first time registrants are required to call during business hours to have an account set up. Birth certificate and proof of residency is required if new to our programs. Attention Linden Residents and Families

Please take comfort in knowing that the safety of our students, teachers and students remains our highest priority. My office, together with the Linden Police Department and Linden Public Schools, has been, and will continue to work closely and diligently to ensure our schools remain safe and secure.

In light of recent threats made against our schools, the Linden Police Department will continue patrolling the area and maintaining a strong presence to ensure everyone’s safety.

I want to reiterate that the individual seen in the controversial video circulating online is not, and has never been, employed by Linden Public Schools. This situation is a powerful reminder that misinformation spread on social media can cause very real and dangerous harm. I urge everyone to act responsibly and refrain from spreading unverified claims. Violence has no place in our community or our society.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family of Charlie Kirk.

SNY Play Ball – Linden Pop Warner Tigers Football Clinic with the New York Jets

The City of Linden Pop Warner Tigers extend their sincere gratitude to SNY, the New York Jets organization, and All-Pro Linebacker Quincy Williams for hosting a memorable one-day clinic for our youth football players. The Pop Warner Tigers were incredibly excited and enthusiastic about the day, and this experience will be forever etched in their memories. The Legends of Linden Free Music Event

The Legend of Linden Free Music Event initially scheduled for June 14 will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 12pm until 5pm at the Promenade (weather permitting).
