• Who: For Linden senior residents. Participants should consult with a physician prior to participation.
• What: Perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity, with easy-to-follow Zumba choreography.
• Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
• When: Fridays, April 21 through June 23, 2023 from 10am until 11am.

• Who: Open to all adults 18+ years of age.
• What: Eight week fitness program that will develop and reinforce healthy lifestyles and behaviors. The Complete Fitness classes will allow participants to engage in a variety of physical fitness activities that will help to establish lifelong fitness goals.
• Where: Linden Multi Purpose Center, which is located at 1025 John Street.
• When: The Complete Fitness program begins on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. The program will be held weekly on Wednesdays for eight weeks from 7pm until 8pm.
• How: Program fee is $50, plus a $6 annual insurance fee. First time registrants must set up and account and pay an annual $6 registration fee. • Where: All League games are played at the Linden Multi Purpose Center, which is located at 1025 John Street.
• When: The League begins on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10:15am.
• How: Registration deadline is December 30, 2022. After deadline, all registrants must register at the main office and a waiting list will be established. Registration fee is $56 for residents, and $66 for non-residents. The registration fee includes a one-time annual $6 insurance fee. All participants must have their own shin guards. Register online here, or register in person at the John T. Gregorio Center (330 Helen Street) from 9am until 4pm, or at the Linden Multi Purpose Center (1025 John Street) from 9am until 7pm. • Who: For children ages 8 through 18.
• What: Instruction on basic wrestling techniques and skills to improve one’s body awareness and overall confidence. All participants must have their own wrestling shoes. No experience needed! No one is too big or too small to wrestle!
• Where: McManus Middle School, which is located at 300 Edgewood Road.
• When: Program runs from November 28, 2023 through March 9, 2023. Practices are every Monday through Thursday from 6:30pm until 8pm.
• How: $60 registration fee plus a $6 insurance fee. All participants must have their own wrestling shoes. Register online here, or register in person at the John T. Thanks to a collaborative effort by Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden’s Department of Parks & Recreation and Morning Star Community Christian Center, the Harvest Party was a huge success!   

The Harvest Party was developed to create a safe alternative to children going door to door, where the entire family and children of all ages can come out to play games to win candy, participate in contests, win prizes (adults too) and have a great time!  

This year’s event featured our usual games, but also included face painters, a caricature artist, multiple contests, refreshments, a DJ, and so much more.   

We want to thank our local clergy, their members and local businesses for their kind donations of pizza, candy, candy and even more candy, as well as financial support.   

Hope you had an opportunity to attend and we look forward to seeing everyone come out next year.
