2026 Indoor Soccer

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the 2026 Indoor Soccer Program. Register early to secure a spot on a team!

  • Who: Open to all children ages 6 through 12.
  • What: Indoor soccer. All participants must have their own shin guards.
  • Where: All League games are played at the Linden Multi Purpose Center, which is located at 1025 John Street.
  • When: The League begins on Saturday, January 17, 2026
    • Start time/hours varies with team assignment.
  • How: Registration deadline is December 30, 2025. After deadline, all registrants must register at the main office. A waiting list will be established after 40 registrants. Registration fee is $65 for residents, and $75 for non-residents. The registration fee includes a one-time annual $6 insurance fee. All participants must have their own shin guards. Register online here, or register in person at the John T. Gregorio Center (330 Helen Street) from 9am until 4pm, or at the Linden Multi Purpose Center (1025 John Street) from 9am until 7pm. All locations accept checks, money orders, Visa and Mastercard. No Cash. No refunds once the League begins. For more information, call (908) 474-8600. Please note: all new “First Time” participants must bring the following original documents that will be verified at registration:
    • Child’s original birth certificate.
    • Household bill showing proof of residency.
    • Diver’s License or photo ID of parent/guardian signing up their child.

2026 Fall Little Kickers Clinic

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the 2026 Fall Little Kickers Clinic. Register early to secure a spot!

  • Who: Open to all children ages 4 and 5.
  • What: Indoor soccer. All participants must have their own shin guards.
  • Where: Instructional Clinic will be held at Linden Multi-Purpose Center, which is located at 1025 John Street.
  • When: The Little Kickers Clinic begins on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 9am. Clinic will run for eight (8) Saturdays: January 17, 24, 31, February 7, 14, 21, 28, March 7.
  • How: Registration deadline is December 30, 2025. After deadline, all registrants must register by calling 908-474-8600 or 908-474-8627, and a waiting list will be established. Co-ed Wrestling

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the Co-ed Wrestling Program.

  • Who: For ages 6 through 18.
  • What: Instruction on basic wrestling techniques and skills to improve one’s body awareness and overall confidence. All participants must have their own wrestling shoes. All skill levels are welcome.
  • When & Where: Program runs from December 2, 2025 through March 12, 2026.
  • How: $60 registration fee, plus a $6 insurance fee. All participants must have their own wrestling shoes. Register online here, or register in-person at the John T. Gregorio Center (330 Helen Street) from 9am until 4pm, or at the Linden Multi Purpose Center (1025 John Street) from 9am until 7pm. All locations accept checks, money orders, Visa and Mastercard. Virtual Community Meeting

  • What: Join us for a Virtual Community Meeting to discuss high-crash locations in Union County and the City of Elizabeth, and provide feedback on recommended design solutions, policies, and operational strategies to enhance safety. Your feedback will help us refine the final draft recommendations to make Union County and Elizabeth streets safer for all!
  • When: City of Elizabeth Meeting: Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 6:30pm until 8pm.
    • Union County Meeting: Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 6:30pm until 8pm.
  • How: Presentation to learn about Safe Streets for All recommendations will begin promptly at 6:30pm. After the presentation, participants will have a chance to provide feedback in small group breakout rooms.

2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer the 2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp.

  • Who: For boys ages 5 through 14.
  • What: Baseball Camp for boys, with instructors Craig Goldberg (LHS Varsity Baseball Head Coach), Xavier Krok (LHS Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach), Dan O’Lear (LHS Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach) and the Linden High School Varsity Baseball Players.
  • Where: Memorial Field (next to the P.A.L. Fields), which is located at 55 Lower Road.
  • When: Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
    • 9am until 11am for grades 3 through 5.
    • 11:30am until 1:30 pm for grades 6 through 8.
