PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on March 8, 2022 in accordance with the Open Public Meeting Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et. seq., and the Governor of New Jersey’s Executive Orders 102 and 104 regarding COVID-19 the Planning Board of the City of Linden will conduct its regular meeting at 6:30 pm.
The meeting will be held in person, but those who wish to attend Virtually may do so, this way limiting personal contact at a public gathering. Registration is not required for this meeting. Members of the Public may access the meeting from their computer, tablet or smartphone by going here and then clicking on the “Virtual Meeting Link” hyperlink.
At this meeting the Board will vote on Resolutions; namely SP-1047-21 – 1206 E. St. Georges Avenue – A Touch of Heaven Child Day Care Center; SD 766-21 – 3113 Fedor Avenue – Lettini & Sons; and SD 767-21 – 615 Jackson Avenue– 615 Jackson LLC; and hear three new Applications, namely, SP-1058-21 – Linden Station Apartments – 201 W. Elizabeth Avenue, SP 1148-22 Dunkin Donuts – 651 N. Stiles Street, and SP 1145-21- Re-zone – 1200 N. Edgar Rd, 837 Pleasant St., 925 Pleasant St., 1300 W. Edgar Rd. & 933 Smith St. The Board will also hear two Ordinances # 66-20 and 66-21.
Copies of the filed Plans submitted by the Applicant can be reviewed here. Copies of any exhibits that will be utilized by the Applicant at the hearing will also be made available at the aforementioned link at least two (2) days prior to the hearing.

Linden High School presents the musical “Once on This Island” on March 17th, 18th and 19th at 7:30pm in the LHS Auditorium. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, March 5, here for $12. The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) announced that the application period for the Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) is now open. The program will provide financial assistance to low-income households to reduce the balances they have on their residential water and wastewater bills. The LIHWAP program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will provide benefits directly to water and wastewater companies, on behalf of residential customers. The City of Linden established the “No Knock Registry” so residents can make it known that they do not want door to door solicitors. The process is quick and easy. Simply click here, fill out the form, and you’re done. You will receive an email confirming your form was submitted.
Once your submission is reviewed and accepted, the Clerk’s Office will mail you a sticker to be placed on/near your front door. Please remember that charitable, political and religious organizations are exempt.

Linden High School is hosting “International Baccalaureate Student and Parent Night” on Wednesday, March 9th at 6:30pm.
IB is an open-enrollment program for students in Grades 11 and 12 that offers rigorous courses in six subject areas, in addition to the chance to gain college credits while in high school.
