Policy Statement

The City Council of the City of Linden recognizes that is it desirable and necessary to promulgate, adopt and follow reasonable rules and regulations governing the conduct of City Council and Caucus Meetings. The following guideline are, in the view of the Governing Body, reasonably designed to promote the efficient conduct of City Council and Caucus Meetings and to balance of competing rights and interest of the members of the Governing Body and the members of the public.

The City Clerk’s office will be closed on Friday, November 28th.

Ordinances 69-28 and 69-29 will not be voted upon at the October City Council meeting and will instead be tabled for discussion and action at a future council meeting.

Because there is no City business to be conducted, tonight’s regularly scheduled (if needed) meeting is cancelled. 

The City of Linden established the “No Knock Registry” so residents can make it known that they do not want door to door solicitors. The process is quick and easy. Simply click here, fill out the form, and you’re done. You will receive an email confirming your form was submitted.

Once your submission is reviewed and accepted, the Clerk’s Office will mail you a sticker to be placed on/near your front door. Please remember that charitable, political and religious organizations are exempt.

Violations should be reported to the Linden Police Department.
