Applications For The 2021 Linden Hometown Heroes Banner Program Now Available!

Applications for the 2021 Linden Hometown Heroes Banner Program are now available! Click here to download the application.

Honor City of Linden servicemen and women and their families, who have served or given their lives for our country in the United States Armed Forces. The banners will hang on light stands in the Linden Uptown Business District beginning in November. This program is free for Linden Military Veterans and their families. Deadline for applications with required credentials is Monday, October 11th, 2021. Banner applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Photos With Santa!

Mayor Derek Armstead and Council President Michele Yamakaitis invite Linden families to take photos with Santa. Children are welcome to come see Santa and take a picture with Santa while he sits in the window. Please make sure to wear face masks and to socially distance.

Uptown Linden Presents an Evening of Entertainment on September 15th

Please see the attached flyer for information about the performances to be given by Julian & Dominique and Lour Bernardi. RSVP to the Recreation Department at 908-474-8600. Social distancing will limit seats to 100, or you can stand in the Promenade, but you must call to reserve your spot. Masks are a must! In the event of rain, call 908-474-8604 after 4:00pm. Additional seating available for lawn chairs as space permits.

Event will be held outdoors on N. Wood Ave, between E. Elm Street and Elizabeth Avenue. Arrival and check-in 9:00am – 11:00am – Line-up on Knopf Street Food, beverages, and restrooms will be available. For more info call Mikki at (908) 718-5831 or email to: mikki@uptownlinden.com PLEASE OBTAIN THE PROPER PERMITS; FIRE DEPT., BOARD OF HEALTH & INSURANCE ON HAND Civic (non-profit) organizations (no charge – limit one space) If food or snacks, a Health Certificate is needed. Storefronts located on Wood Avenue (no charge for sidewalks or street space) – MUST BE REGISTERED Vendors located elsewhere in the CITY OF LINDEN ($75.00 per space) All other vendors and for-profit organizations ($175.00 per space) Spaces are 18 x 10 feet. No tables, electric or water available. Vendors must bring whatever they need: tenting, tables, quiet generators, etc. to fit and be secured within space contracted. Vehicles must be moved to designated area after unloading.
