3rd Ward Garage Sale – Permit Fee Waived

The City of Linden is hosting a 3rd Ward Garage Sales, with no permit required on:

  • May 3 and 4, 2025.
    • Rain Date: May 4, 2025
    • Residents who wish to participate can register with Councilwoman Caldwell directly by calling 908-531-0676.

3rd Ward Community Meeting Cancelled

Due to a water main break at the Linden Public Library, the 3rd Ward Community Meeting scheduled for March 25, 2025, at 6:30 PM has been canceled. The meeting was set to take place at 130 E. Henry Street, Linden, NJ 07036.

I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. I will be rescheduling the meeting, and a new date will be announced soon. Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to meeting with you soon.

Parks Open Space Conservation Master Plan – Public Meetings

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, the Department of Parks & Recreation and the Union County Board of County Commissioners invites you, our community, to come out and share your ideas on how the City can improve and conserve its 27 parks and 258 acres of open space for residents to enjoy for years to come.

The City of Linden invites you, our community, to come out and share your ideas on how the City can improve and conserve its 27 parks and 258 acres of open space for residents to enjoy for years to come. Ward residents of the scheduled meetings are encouraged to attend. During the months of October and November, we will host public meetings to discuss your ward parks and open spaces. Additional ward meetings will be scheduled at later dates.

Community Wide Garage Sale to be Held in 3rd & 8th Wards – All Fees Waived

The City of Linden is hosting a community-wide garage sale in the 3rd and 8th Wards on October 1, 2022.

  • The City of Linden is waiving fees for permits for this community-wide garage sale.
  • The 3rd and 8th Ward garage sale shall not impact a resident’s right to conduct up to two garage sales in a year.
  • Chapter 4-3.6 shall still apply, limiting one singled faced sign containing not more than four square feet in total area to be placed upon the premises where the sale is being conducted, and further prohibiting any other signs and either public or private property.
