Self Defense Clinic

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, the Department of Parks & Recreation and Optimum Human Performance are pleased to offer a Eight-week Self Defense Clinic with Shihan Rahim and assistant instructors.

  • Who: Linden residents only ages 5 through 17.
  • What: Eight-week Self Defense Clinic with Shihan Rahim and assistant instructors. The Self Defense Clinic will teach striking, katas, ground movement, and escape techniques
  • Where: John T. Gregorio Center, which is located at 330 Helen Street.
  • When: Eight-week program. Every Monday, from October 19, 2026 through December 7, 2026.
    • Youth (5 through 12 years old) – 5pm until 6pm.
    • Teens (13 through 17 years old) – 6:30pm until 7:30pm.

In-person registration is available 9am – 4pm at the JTG Center (330 Helen Street) or the Linden Multi-Purpose Center (1025 John Street). Online registration is available 24/7.
