FEMA Will Be Knocking On Doors

Please be advised that FEMA Individual Assistance (this is assistance for the residents) personnel are coming to Linden starting Monday, October 18, 2021. They will be going door to door canvassing the areas hardest hit by Ida. They will be assisting residents with claims, registrations, and providing information on government programs that can assist residents in the recovery from Ida. 

They will be properly identified with FEMA Federal Government photo identification and clothing. They will follow all CDC safety guidelines for COVID-19 including social distancing and use of protective equipment. Residents are reminded to ask to see their identification before providing their personal information so as to avoid scammers.

FEMA has also opened another Disaster Recovery Center in a trailer at the Skating Rink in Warinanco Park, Roselle. It is open during normal business hours and is available to all Linden Residents.

The Police Department has been notified of the above information and is aware of FEMA canvassing.

Public Notice for the request for qualifications of professional service contracts beginning January 1, 2022 was posted to the City Website this morning. Standardized submission requirements and selection criteria are on file and available in the Purchasing Department, City Hall, 301 N. Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Vaccinations, Third Doses & Testing – Tuesday, September 21st

  • Who: Open to everyone 12 years and older (children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). ID is required.
  • What: Pfizer and Moderna vaccination and third doses for COVID-19.
  • When: Tuesday, September 21st from 10am until 4pm.
  • Where: Linden PAL, 400 Maple Avenue, Linden NJ 07036
  • How: Fill out this consent form prior to arriving to the Vaccination Clinic.

Mayor Armstead Invites You To Attend The 2nd Annual Polish Heritage Festival

Mayor Derek Armstead, The City of Linden, Uptown Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are hosting the 2nd Annual 2021 Polish Heritage Festival on September 18th from 1pm – 9pm at the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade, located at 400 North Wood Avenue.
