November 4th, 2021 Shade Tree Commission Meeting Notice

The City of Linden, Shade Tree Commission meeting has been scheduled for 7pm. The Meeting will be conducted virtually via Zoom due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Official action may be taken and portions of the meeting may be held in executive session. Click here to join the meeting.

The link to join the meeting, the phone number to dial into the meeting and the link to all meeting documents, including a PDF of this notice are available once meeting details are finalized.

Members of the public who may be attending are on mute until the public hearing or during the public comment portion of the meeting. If you wish to be recognized please use the raised hand icon, in the program, to identify yourself. You will then give your name and address. Failure to do so, will result in you being muted, and not recognized further.

Members of the public can submit questions or comments in writing no later than 2pm on both meeting days here or by fax at (908) 474-8451. Please include your name and address in the correspondence and the subject of  the email should be “public meeting comment or question”.

Public Announcement – Union County Board of Commissioners Seek Input

Through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund provides a substantial infusion of resources to help turn the tide on the pandemic, address economic fallout, and lay the foundation for a strong and equitable recovery. Union County has an allocation of $64.6 million.

The Union County Board of Commissioners and the County Manager invite residents, businesses, and community organizations to provide feedback about their priorities. Eligible use of these funds require that programs and projects must be tied to one of the following allowable uses:

  • Support public health response
  • Address negative economic impacts
  • Replace public sector revenue loss
  • Provide premium pay to essential workers
  • Make necessary investments to water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure

Public input, transparency, and accountability are critical to Union County’s response efforts. The survey is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese by clicking here. To obtain a paper survey and answers to any questions, residents may call 908-527-4250 and ask for Monica Remelgado. A paper survey will be mailed or emailed to callers. The deadline to submit input is the close of business on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Key Dates and Deadlines for the Upcoming General Election

For the first time in New Jersey’s history Early Voting begins this Saturday, October 23rd and runs through Sunday, October 31st; and Election Day is on November 2nd.

  • October 23 through October 31: In-Person Early Voting Period.
  • October 26: Deadline to apply for a Vote-by-Mail Ballot by Mail for General Election.
  • November 1 at 3pm: Deadline to apply for a Vote-by-Mail ballot in person at your County Clerk’s office.
  • November 2: Election Day – Polls are open from 6am – 8pm.
