Purpose: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Wilson Park Pond at Wilson Park, located at 1100-1198 Summit Terrace near the Summit Terrace and Morningside Ave Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

Project Scope: The City of Linden proposes improvements at Wilson Park Pond at Wilson Park: Wilson Park Pond Dredging and Aeration. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found by clicking here.

Information: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on August 20, 2024 during the regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m. council meeting. The meeting will be held in person as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting. Ground Space for Cell Site Platform at 320 West St. Georges Ave. Sealed bids will be received, opened and read in public for consideration by the Purchasing Agent of the City of Linden, at the City Hall, 301 North Wood Avenue, 3rd Floor, Planning Board Room, Linden, New Jersey 07036 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, 9:30am prevailing time.

  2. Addendum No. 1 for Contract 2024-01 Land Lease for Cell Tower Use.

All bids shall be presented to the City of Linden by parties bidding or their agents previous to the time designated, or when called for by the City of Linden.

The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the maximum delivered price, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), and may be given at the option of the bidder by a certified check or a bid bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey.

Bidders shall comply with the Affirmative Action Requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq (P.L. 1975, C. 127); (N.J.A.C. 17:27), as amended from time to time, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and N.J.S.A. 52:25-24-2 P.L. 1977, Chapter 33.

Any Addenda will be issued on the website and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:A11-23(c)(1). All interested respondents should check the website from now through the bid opening. It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids for the above listed contract in whole and/or in part which do not comply with the specification and/or the statutory requirements. Cancelled – July 15, 2024 Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting

PLEASE TAKE A NOTICE THAT the City of Linden, Zoning Board of Adjustment’s scheduled meeting on Monday, July 15, 2024 has been cancelled due to a family emergency. The Board will attempt to have a special meeting in early August, pending availability. The next regularly scheduled Zoning Board meeting will be held on September 9, 2024, and will include all business that was scheduled to be heard at the July 15, 2024 meeting. We apologize for any inconveniences.

Public Notice for the Request for Qualifications for Affordable Housing Planning and Administrative Agent Services

Public Notice for the Request for Qualifications of Professional Service Contracts beginning July 1, 2024. Notice is hereby given that in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44-20.5 et seq. through a fair and open process, the City of Linden is requesting sealed submissions for Professional Service Contracts. Sealed submissions will be received by the Purchasing Agent, Jessica L. Slawinski, of the City of Linden, on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time, in the 1st Floor Purchasing Department, City Hall, City of Linden, 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036 then publicly opened and read aloud for the following:

  1. Affordable Housing Planning and Administrative Agent Services.

Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS, for (Position Number as Listed Above, Name of Position) and bearing the name and address of the proposer on outside; addressed to the Purchasing Agent, Jessica L.
