Veterans Memorial Park stands as a cornerstone of our community, one of the City’s largest and most cherished green spaces. Beyond its expansive open areas, the park is a true haven for baseball enthusiasts, boasting a robust complex of baseball diamonds. We are proud to feature two dedicated fields specifically designed to support our thriving Little League program and girls’ softball teams, fostering a love for the sport from a young age. These fields are further complemented by an awesome fieldhouse. The fieldhouse currently features a concession stand, which will see a significant modernization of its equipment. This enhancement aims to elevate the visitor experience, offering a wider array of high-quality stadium food to satisfy the appetites of our dedicated fans and families.
Adjacent to this facility is a playground area that has been identified for a much-anticipated renovation. The existing playground will be transformed into an attractive, baseball-themed apparatus, designed to captivate and entertain children aged 5 to 12. This imaginative new structure will not only provide a safe and engaging play environment but also reinforce the park’s strong connection to America’s favorite pastime. The City’s commitment to these vital park improvements has been significantly bolstered by the successful acquisition of grant funding from several generous sources, making these ambitious projects a tangible reality for our community.
