Blossoming Bowlers 5

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer Blossoming Bowlers 5, in cooperation with the Linden Police Department. Let’s “strike up some fun,” and celebrate family bowling at Jersey Lanes! Registration required.

  • Who: Free bowling outing for all Union County special needs families.
  • What: Blossoming Bowlers 5, Let’s “strike up some fun,” and celebrate family bowling at Jersey Lanes! This program is funded by the NJ Department of Community Affairs ROID Grant (Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities). Each participant can bring family members for music, food, and fun. Students that are sensitive to noise, please bring headsets as there will be a DJ present.
  • Where: Jersey Lanes, which is located at 30 Park Avenue.
  • When: Saturday, August 30 from 2pm until 4pm.

NJDEP Blue Acres Program – Buyout Guidance Consultations

In response to the recent flash flooding on July 14, 2025, NJDEP Blue Acres is offering in-person and online opportunities for homeowners to learn about the voluntary buyout process. These consultations provide personalized buyout guidance and support to those affected by the floods.

    • Virtual – Tuesday, August 26 from 6pm until 8pm
    • In Person – Wednesday, August 27 from 5:30pm until 7pm, at the North Plainfield Library, 6 Rockview Avenue, North Plainfield, New Jersey, 07060

Mayor Derek Armstead, Council President Michele Yamakaitis, the City of Linden, Uptown Linden, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Union County and the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union present the City of Linden 2025 Polish Festival. Bringing the Polish community together for one big event!

  • What: The City of Linden 6th Annual 2025 Polish Festival! Honorary Patronage of the Consulate of the Republic of Poland in New York. Special Event Slavic Invasion, Live Polish Music and DJ, Children’s Activities, Authentic Polish Food, Beer and Wine Tent, Polish Vendors. Bringing the Polish community together for one big event!
