  • Fire Prevention Night

    Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden and the Linden Fire Department invite you to attend Fire Prevention Night. This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety.”

    • Where: In front of Linden City Hall, which is located at 301 North Wood Avenue.

  • 2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp

    Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer the 2025 Linden Tigers – Fall Baseball Camp.

    • Who: For boys ages 5 through 14.
    • What: Baseball Camp for boys, with instructors Craig Goldberg (LHS Varsity Baseball Head Coach), Xavier Krok (LHS Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach), Dan O’Lear (LHS Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach) and the Linden High School Varsity Baseball Players.
    • Where: Memorial Field (next to the P.A.L. Fields), which is located at 55 Lower Road.
    • When: Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
      • 9am until 11am for grades 3 through 5.
      • 11:30am until 1:30 pm for grades 6 through 8.
    • How: Free program. To view full program description and register online, click here. In person registration is available 9am until 4pm at the JTG Center (330 Helen Street), or 9am until 7pm at the Linden Multi-Purpose Center (1025 John Street). Online registration available 24/7. All locations accept checks, money orders, Visa and Mastercard. Community Center Building is the only center to accept exact cash. Make checks payable to: Linden Recreation Baseball. All first time registrants are required to call during business hours to have an account set up. Birth certificate and proof of residency is required if new to our programs.   • Attention Linden Residents and Families

    Please take comfort in knowing that the safety of our students, teachers and students remains our highest priority. My office, together with the Linden Police Department and Linden Public Schools, has been, and will continue to work closely and diligently to ensure our schools remain safe and secure.

    In light of recent threats made against our schools, the Linden Police Department will continue patrolling the area and maintaining a strong presence to ensure everyone’s safety.

    I want to reiterate that the individual seen in the controversial video circulating online is not, and has never been, employed by Linden Public Schools. This situation is a powerful reminder that misinformation spread on social media can cause very real and dangerous harm. I urge everyone to act responsibly and refrain from spreading unverified claims. Violence has no place in our community or our society.

    We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family of Charlie Kirk.

    Together, we will keep Linden a safe, strong, and welcoming community where all children can learn and grow. With any questions, please contact me or my office directly.

  • SNY Play Ball – Linden Pop Warner Tigers Football Clinic with the New York Jets

    The City of Linden Pop Warner Tigers extend their sincere gratitude to SNY, the New York Jets organization, and All-Pro Linebacker Quincy Williams for hosting a memorable one-day clinic for our youth football players. The Pop Warner Tigers were incredibly excited and enthusiastic about the day, and this experience will be forever etched in their memories.
