Please be advised that the February 8, 2024 Special Improvement District has been rescheduled to February 15th at 8:30am and will take place in the Special Improvement District Office.
As per Governor Murphy’s State of Emergency Declaration effective January 9, 2024 at 5pm, tonight’s originally scheduled Planning Board Meeting is CANCELLED.
PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Wilson Park Recreation Center located at 1100-1198 Summit Terrace near the Summit Terrace and Morningside Ave Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.
PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes improvements at Wilson Park Recreation Center: Wilson Park Pond Dredging and Aeration. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.
PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on January 16, 2024 at 7pm, EST. The meeting will be held In Person as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting. Written comments on the proposed application may be directed to Keith Pressey, Management Specialist, at (908) 474-8600.

A special meeting of the Linden Rent Leveling Board has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 7pm to be held at 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ, Planning Board Room, 3rd Floor. The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

Notice of this meeting was sent via email to the Local Source, The Star Ledger and the Home News Tribune on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. In addition, copies of this notice were posted on the bulletin board in City Hall and the Municipal Website.

The City of Linden, Zoning Board of Adjustment’s scheduled special meeting on Tuesday July 25, 2023, has been cancelled due to a family emergency with one of our Board members. Due to only having five voting members available to attend, the applicant has chosen to adjourn the meeting to a future date. The Board will attempt to have a special meeting in early August, pending member availability. The next regularly scheduled Zoning Board meeting will be held on September 11, 2023, and will include all business that was scheduled to be heard at the July 25, 2023 meeting, unless an earlier special meeting is able to be put on the calendar. All updates/notices will be on the website. We apologize for any inconveniences.
