Fair Housing Obligations

The City of Linden adopted the resolution below committing to a present need obligation and an obligation for the Round 4 prospective need. That resolution will be attached to a declaratory relief lawsuit that is filed on January 22, 2025

Public Hearing Announcement – Park Development Application

PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Dorothy Curry Ford Park located at 230 Chandler Avenue, Linden NJ and St. Marks Street and East Elizabeth Avenue intersection in The City of Linden.

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes to create the following new facilities at St. Mark’s Park; and/or to renovate the following facilities: Dorothy Curry Ford Park and/or to remove the following facilities: Dorothy Curry Ford Park. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.

PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on January 21st, 2025 during the regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m. council meeting. The meeting will be held in person as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting. October 14, 2024 Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting Cancellation and October 16, 2024 Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting Notice

Please take Notice that the City of Linden, Zoning Board of Adjustment’s scheduled meeting on Monday, October 14, 2024 has been cancelled. The next City of Linden, Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 6:30 pm in the Planning Board Room in City Hall, 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036. The meeting will be conducted in person. Official action will be taken and portions of the meeting may be held in executive session.

Cancelled – July 15, 2024 Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting

PLEASE TAKE A NOTICE THAT the City of Linden, Zoning Board of Adjustment’s scheduled meeting on Monday, July 15, 2024 has been cancelled due to a family emergency. The Board will attempt to have a special meeting in early August, pending availability. The next regularly scheduled Zoning Board meeting will be held on September 9, 2024, and will include all business that was scheduled to be heard at the July 15, 2024 meeting. We apologize for any inconveniences.

PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Wilson Park Recreation Center located at 1100-1198 Summit Terrace near the Summit Terrace and Morningside Ave Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes improvements at Wilson Park Recreation Center: Wilson Park Pond Dredging and Aeration. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.

PURPOSE: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at AL Kalla Park located at 2800 Wickersham Avenue, near the Highland Ave and Springfield Road Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Linden proposes to create the following new facilities at Al Kalla Park: a turf soccer and softball field with lights. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found here.
