Notice RE Two Full Time Clerk 1 Positions in the Linden Police Department

Please be advised that there are vacancies for 2 Full time Clerk 1 positions at the Police Department. These positions are full time for 35 hours per week at the annual salary $34,548. At this time, this position is only open to current City of Linden employees. If there is no interest expressed then this position will be publicly advertised to all City of Linden residency. Anyone interested in the above-mentioned vacancy must submit an employment application which can be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office or online here.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic all applications must be completed and returned via email no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, September 4th, 2020. Notice RE Laboratory Technician Position at the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority

Opening for Laboratory Technician position at major wastewater treatment facility in Linden, NJ. Laboratory is NJDEP certified to analyze 25+ parameters. Position will entail analyzing wastewater and sludge samples according to standard operating procedures. Required to operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment, troubleshooting, calibration checks, sample preservation and chemical reagents preparation. Perform and report calculated sample results and complete data entry.

Qualifications: A.S. Degree in Chem., Bio. or Env. Science with 3 yrs. exp. in a wastewater laboratory or B.S. Degree in Chem., Bio. or Env. Science with 1 yr. exp. in a wastewater laboratory.

Notice RE Two Vacancies for the position of Laborer 1, Tier 2 in the Department of Community Services

Please be advised that there are two vacancies for the position of Laborer 1 (tier 2) in the Department of Community Services at the hourly rate of $15.00 (job description and requirements attached). These positions are full time for 40 hours per week. Please post this in an area available to all employees. At this time, these positions will also be publicly advertised and open to all City of Linden residents. The City of Linden has a residency requirement and applicants will be required to show proof of residency in order to qualify for any position.

Notice regarding a Special City Council Meeting on May 28, 2020 at 6pm

A Special Meeting of the City Council, City of Linden has been scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2020, 6pm. The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

  • Review and Acceptance of the Rail Freight Assistance Program (RFAP) Agreement.
  • Approval of a Financial Agreement with Clayton relative to the 10% in matching funds for said Project.

Official action may be taken.

New Jersey DR-4488-NJ – EHP Public Notice

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing financial assistance, in the form of Public Assistance (PA) Grants, to the State of New Jersey for DR-4488-NJ. To satisfy its compliance responsibilities, FEMA’s Region II Environmental & Historic Preservation Branch (EHP) has created the attached public notice for Executive Order (EO) 11988 (Floodplains), EO 11990 (Wetlands) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106). The public notice is for FEMA funded actions that are located in a floodplain or wetland or may affect listed or eligible historic properties related to the COVID-19 Response (DR-4488-NJ). Funded actions include but are not limited to: temporary testing sites, temporary Alternate Care Facilities (ACF), temporary storage sites and temporary mortuary sites.
