FEMA COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

The Union County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce the County of Union will be holding FEMA vaccination clinics for the COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine for residents 16 years and older in Linden.

  • Make an appointment online by clicking here.
  • If you need assistance making an appointment, please call the Mayor’s office at (908) 474-8493 Monday through Friday 9am until 5pm, and someone will help you make the appointment.
  • Proof of residency is required.
  • Currently, appointments are being scheduled for Thursday April 15th and Friday April 16th.

Food Distribution Event on Saturday, April 17th @ 8am

The Union County Board of Commissioners, the Village Super Market of Springfield Township, New Jersey, and Gargiulo Produce are providing a drive through food distribution event to all Union County residents affected by COVID-19 on Saturday, April 17th. Event Details

  • First 1,200 vehicles will receive boxes of produce and shelf-stable food on a first come first served basis.
  • One food distribution per vehicle, while supplies last.
  • Please make sure to clear out the vehicle’s trunk prior to arrival to make room for food bags.
  • Refrigerate any perishable items shortly after distribution.
  • Bring one (1) proof of NJ residency, such as a utility bill, driver’s license, ID card, etc.
  • Event will take place rain or shine.

  • Clinics will be held at the Dunn Sports Center, 600 Pearl Street, Elizabeth NJ.
  • Currently, appointments are being scheduled for April 8th, 9th and 10th.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

The County of Union will hold vaccination clinics on April 8th, April 9th and April 10th for residents of Linden. If you are a resident of Linden, you may call 908-613-7829 to set up an appointment to receive the COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination. Proof of residency is required. Please call today.

Free Online English as a Second Language Classes

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is holding free online ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes through Zoom. A smartphone, computer, or tablet is needed and most classes will meet twice a week for 90 minutes each. Classes start on April 12th and run through June 6th.

Tenants Rights During COVID-19

There will be Tenants Rights Virtual Sessions held in English and Spanish by PROCEED Inc. in partnership with Central Jersey Legal Services. The virtual session in English will be held on Tuesday, March 30th, and in Spanish on Wednesday, March 31st. Both sessions will be held from 11am until 12pm.

Phase II COVID 19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program

The NJ Department of Community Affairs has announced that they will be accepting applications for Phase II of the COVID 19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program.

The application will open on Monday, March 22nd at 9am. It will remain open for a rolling application period until the funds are expended.
