Purpose: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at Wilson Park Pond at Wilson Park, located at 1100-1198 Summit Terrace near the Summit Terrace and Morningside Ave Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

Project Scope: The City of Linden proposes improvements at Wilson Park Pond at Wilson Park: Wilson Park Pond Dredging and Aeration. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found by clicking here.

Information: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on August 20, 2024 during the regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m. council meeting. The meeting will be held in person as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting. Public Notice Regarding the use of Body Worn Cameras by the Linden Police Department

In accordance with New Jersey Attorney General’s Directive 2021-5, the Linden Police Department is hereby providing public notice that the Linden Police Department deploys Body Worn Camera technology for use by both uniformed and plainclothes officers. Generally, a Body Worn Camera (BWC) will be mounted in the chest area to the front of the officer’s outermost garment. Pictures of the device currently in use, as well as a picture depicting how it is worn by both uniformed and plainclothes officers, is included below.

Body worn cameras are used to capture valuable evidence for investigations and trials. It also documents scenes, interviews, and encounters between the police and citizens, promoting accountability and transparency. The Linden Police Department was among the first Police Departments in Union County to deploy Body Worn Camera technology when it began the program in February 2016.

TAKE NOTICE, that on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 4pm at the 2nd Floor Parking Garage Entrance of the Linden City Hall, 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, New Jersey, a PUBLIC HEARING will be held to discuss programs and grant applications that the City of Linden will submit to the Union County Community Development Revenue Sharing Committee for fiscal year 2021-2022 (CD Year 47) and to review past funding. In addition, the public may present projects for funding consideration by the City or the County. Submit written comments electronically only here.

New Jersey DR-4488-NJ – EHP Public Notice

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing financial assistance, in the form of Public Assistance (PA) Grants, to the State of New Jersey for DR-4488-NJ. To satisfy its compliance responsibilities, FEMA’s Region II Environmental & Historic Preservation Branch (EHP) has created the attached public notice for Executive Order (EO) 11988 (Floodplains), EO 11990 (Wetlands) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (Section 106). The public notice is for FEMA funded actions that are located in a floodplain or wetland or may affect listed or eligible historic properties related to the COVID-19 Response (DR-4488-NJ). Funded actions include but are not limited to: temporary testing sites, temporary Alternate Care Facilities (ACF), temporary storage sites and temporary mortuary sites.
