Public Hearing Announcement Regarding NJDEP Green Acres – James Dobson Park

A Special Council meeting of the City Council of the City of Linden has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 6:00 pm. The meeting will be conducted in person. Official action will be taken and portions of the meeting may be held in executive session. The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

  1. Public Hearing on the City of Linden’s application to the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at James Dobson Park.
  2. Consideration of Resolution(s) enabling an application to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection for improvements to James Dobson Park.
  3. Other matters pertaining to the public hearing or resolution.

Notice of this meeting stating the date, place and time, has been disseminated as required under the Open Public Meetings Act, Chapter 231, P.L. 1975.” Electronic notice was provided on February 18, 2026 to The Home News Tribune, and The Star Ledger. The same information was posted on the City’s website, Linden TV, and the bulletin board. 

About: The City of Linden is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at James Dobson Park located at the East Blancke Street and Maple Avenue Intersection in Linden, New Jersey.

Project Scope: The City of Linden proposes to create and improve new facilities at James Dobson Park.

Information: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on February 25, 2026 during a special meeting of the Linden City Council, scheduled for 6:00pm.
