Notice RE New Job Positions Available In The City of Linden

Once completed all applications must be returned via email or mailed to City of Linden City Clerks’ Office, 301 North Wood Avenue, Linden, NJ 07036. Applications that are mailed must be postmarked by the application deadline or they will be returned to the applicant. Please be advised that all employment applications must be completed at the time of submission. Please include copies of resumes, proof of qualifications or any additional documents you wish to submit with your application.

Submission Deadline is Friday, August 14, 2026 at 4pm.

  • Two (2) Full-Time Truck Driver positions, in the Department of Public Works. 
  • One (1) Full-Time Laborer (Tier 2) position, in the Department of Community Services, the Division of Public Works. 
  • One (1) Full-Time Mechanic Helper position, in the Division of Public Works / Municipal Garage. 
  • One (1) Full-Time Technical Assistant position, in the Construction Code Department. 
  • One (1) Full-Time Housing Inspector position, in the Health Department.

Cancelled – July 20, 2026 Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting

Please take notice that the City of Linden, Zoning Board of Adjustment’s scheduled meeting on Monday, July 20, 2026 has been cancelled due to room availability. The next Zoning Board meeting is scheduled for September 7, 2026. All business scheduled for this meeting will be conducted at the next scheduled meeting without further notice.
