Creative Aging Workshop Series – Tell Your Story

Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, and the Department of Parks & Recreation are pleased to offer the Creative Aging Workshop Series “Tell Your Story.” The Workshop will be led by Judy England McCarthy, professional storyteller and workshop facilitator. The Creative Aging Workshop Series was made possible by the Creative Aging Grant from the State of New Jersey’s Council of the Arts and the City of the Linden. Only thirty cities/towns were selected to receive this grant. This eight-part free program will focus on assisting our seniors to access their personal stories or memoirs. The Workshop will culminate with participants sharing some of these stories in front of family and friends. The optional performance will be recorded and made available to all those who participate. All materials will be supplied and each session will be 90-minutes long allowing plenty of time for inquiry, writing, storytelling and discussion.

• Who: For seniors.
