Purchasing

The Division of Purchasing is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for the City of Linden, in compliance with the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A 40A:11-1 et. seq. This centralized office receives bids and quotes when mandated, and oversees the process and award of all purchase orders and contracts. The Qualified Purchasing Agent also serves as the Public Agency Compliance Officer for the City of Linden. The Purchasing Department oversees that all procurements are conducted in a legal and ethical fashion.

Please Note: The City of Linden does not release bidder lists or information prior to the public receipt and opening of bids. Information regarding bidders and proposals is exempt from disclosure under OPRA until such time as formal action taken by the governing body because such information “if disclosed would give an advantage to competitors or bidders.” Refer to N.J.S.A 47:1a-1.1 ET SEQ.
