Excessive loud vehicle stereos are among the most common noise complaints received by the City.
Motorcycles must have a muffler meeting federal standards (40 CFR Part 205)
Removing or disabling a vehicles noise-control equipment is unlawful.
Power tools, landscaping and yard maintenance equipment must be operated with a muffler and/or sound reduction device.
All motorized equipment and demolition activity (excluding emergency work) must be operated with a muffler and/or sound reduction device.
If your neighbors can clearly hear your music from distances of 25 feet and/or 50 feet, you may be in violation of the ordinance.
It is unlawful to allow any domesticated or caged animal to create a sound that unreasonably disturbs neighbors.
